Neuromodulators relax the specific muscles that fold your skin into a line. Treat the muscle, and the line softens — and over years of consistent treatment, the etched-in version of that line never fully forms.

Two things separate a good result from an obvious one: dose and placement. Both are judgment calls, which is why the same vial of product produces very different faces in different hands. Drew has been injecting since 2021 and treats every Pricked client personally.

Why per-unit pricing matters

Plenty of med spas price "per area." It sounds simpler, but it hides how much product you actually received — and the profitable move is always to under-dose. At $13 a unit you can see exactly what went in, and your chart records it, so next time we can adjust up or down deliberately.

Every treatment starts with a health evaluation. You'll complete a health history before your appointment, and Drew examines you before treating. Some conditions, medications, and pregnancy or nursing make treatment unsafe — we'll tell you if you're not a candidate. Results and dosing vary between people.

Common questions

You'll see the first softening around day 3 to 5, and the full result at 10 to 14 days. That's why the touch-up assessment is scheduled at two weeks — judging the result earlier leads to over-treating.
Typically 3 to 4 months for cosmetic areas. Masseter and hyperhidrosis treatments often last longer, 4 to 6 and 6 to 9 months respectively. Metabolism, dose, and how expressive the muscle is all change the number.
Only if you're dosed for it. Most people want movement — softened lines that still let the face work. Tell Drew the look you want at the consultation, and dosing follows from that. We can always add more at two weeks; we cannot take it away.
They're both onabotulinum-class neuromodulators and both work well. Dysport tends to kick in a day or two sooner and spreads slightly more, which some injectors prefer for the forehead. Drew will recommend one based on the area and your history.
For 4 hours: no lying flat, no rubbing the area, no working out. For 24 hours: skip alcohol, saunas, and facials. Bruising risk drops if you stop fish oil, ibuprofen, and alcohol a couple of days beforehand — but never stop a prescribed medication without asking your doctor.
No. Neuromodulators are not used in pregnancy or while breastfeeding. This is part of what the health history screens for.
